Janelle Gabrys is an attorney in Carson LLP’s Business Group, focusing on real estate, mergers and acquisitions, and employment law. Licensed in both Indiana and Illinois, she works closely with businesses of all sizes to provide legal guidance and practical, strategic solutions. Janelle has extensive experience managing transactions of all sizes and helping companies navigate complex business deals with efficiency and precision.
Janelle is dedicated to providing efficient, business-focused legal solutions, helping clients structure, negotiate, and finalize transactions while mitigating risk. Her technical expertise and problem-solving approach allow her to guide businesses through even the most demanding transactions with confidence.
She earned her J.D. summa cum laude from Valparaiso University School of Law, where she served as Editor in Chief of the Valparaiso University Law Review and was actively involved in Moot Court. She also holds a B.S. summa cum laude in Business Administration and Political Science from Elmhurst College.
Janelle’s academic excellence and leadership have been recognized through numerous awards, including the ALI-CLE Scholarship and Leadership Award, Corpus Juris Secundum Award, Scribes Award, and the Valparaiso University Law School Swygert Moot Court Competition Best Team and Best Brief Awards.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and two sons on their small family farm. She is also actively involved in their county 4-H program and coaches volleyball.
Admitted to practice in Indiana, Illinois, and multiple U.S. District Courts, Janelle is a member of the Indiana State Bar Association, American Bar Association, and Allen County Bar Association. She has also contributed to legal scholarship, writing and speaking on topics such as business acquisitions, social media in the workplace, and business succession planning. With her depth of knowledge and commitment to client success, she continues to be a trusted advisor in business law.
