Haley Brooks is a dedicated attorney with a strong foundation in business and municipal law. She earned her Juris Doctor from Indiana University Maurer School of Law in 2022, where she served as a registered mediator for the Viola J. Taliaferro Family and Children Mediation Clinic. She also holds a Bachelor of Science in Public Affairs with Distinction from Indiana University-Bloomington, graduating in 2019.
Her approach to law is rooted in a passion for problem-solving and a deep appreciation for how legal frameworks impact both public and private interests. With a background in law and public policy, she is particularly motivated by the intersection of government and business, and how legal counsel can support growth and revitalization in communities like Fort Wayne. Haley is committed to serving clients by thoroughly researching and applying local, state, and federal laws to help individuals and entities navigate complex legal landscapes.
Before joining Carson Law, Haley gained valuable experience in both public and private sectors. Her past roles include Grants Coordinator for the City of Fort Wayne, Summer Law Clerk for the Allen County Superior Court, and Congressional Intern for the United States House of Representatives.
Throughout her academic journey, Haley earned several recognitions for her leadership and scholarship. She was a Fellow in the Indiana Conference for Legal Education Opportunity (ICLEO), participated in the Indiana University Groups Scholars and Washington Leadership Programs, and served as Notes Editor for the Indiana Journal of Law and Social Equality. Her work was published in Volume 10, Issue 2 of the Journal, contributing research focused on responsive policy during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Outside the office, Haley enjoys cheering on her Indiana Hoosiers at football and basketball games and attending Chicago Cubs games with friends. She’s also a proud dog mom to her golden retriever, Beau, who keeps her busy and entertained. Haley is passionate about contributing to her community and is proud to be part of the region’s continued growth and development.
Haley is currently focusing her practice on business, corporate, transactional, and municipal law. In the coming months, she will be working toward drafting impactful legislative and ordinance provisions at the local and state level, as well as supporting substantial transactions that contribute to Northeast Indiana’s continued economic development.
