Karl focuses his practice in civil litigation and insurance defense. During his 32-year career, he has tried more than 185 cases before the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board and throughout the State of Indiana. He made oral arguments in all of those cases to the appellate tribunal of the Indiana Workers’ Compensation Board, several of which resulted in appeals.

Karl has extensive experience working through the intricacies of Medicare set aside trusts and crafting annuity agreements and other creative terms in catastrophic loss cases. He has first and second chair experience in both jury trials and bench trials, and he understands his role as a facilitator in resolving his clients’ complex cases short of trial. Karl has mediated more than 225 cases in his career, best serving his clients’ interests in every one.
