J.T. is a member of Carson’s business team focusing on corporate transactions with extensive experience on financing and loan transactions. A Fort Wayne native, he joined the Carson team after five years practicing in Chicago and three years practicing in New York City.

His practice ranges from general corporate governance to mergers and acquisitions and distressed company transactions in the private and public sectors, including clients in the technology, energy, real estate, retail and healthcare industries. J.T.’s banking law experience includes private equity and private credit transactions ranging from large to small-capital deals on a domestic and international level, including secured and unsecured term loans, revolving loans and asset-based credit facilities.

J.T. believes in collaborating openly with clients to clearly understand near-term and long-term objectives for a strong attorney-client partnership. He prides himself on a practical, real-world approach that leads to effective, efficient, and thoughtful solutions for clients.

Outside of work, J.T. is an avid college and pro sports fan and holds allegiances to Florida based teams. When he isn’t hoping that the Miami Dolphins can turn it around, he enjoys cooking, exercising, and following Formula 1 racing.
